Stay blocked until the enemy attacks, they will only ever land 2 kits before breaking their own combo. Now what about the combat? Well, it’s the same thing every time.
Meaning that most movement is done to make small adjustments which isn’t easy to do when your speed is inconsistent. If you need to cover long distance it is ok, but the levels are very linear. And then after that my character will bolt it and go at two million miles a second. So if I start running forward, I will have two seconds going at a manageable speed.
How every character reacts to movement is as they move they slowly build up speed. On paper this isn’t anything too strange there have been other Dragon Ball games like this in the past. So, this game is a 3D beat ‘em up set in the Dragon Ball universe. It was 704X480 which is a really odd aspect ratio that I have never seen before.
And also, the Xbox port support “Widescreen” which the PS2 doesn’t but in reality it wasn’t even 16:10 widescreen. However, I do think the Xbox port has higher model and texture quality. I don’t know all differences between PS2 and Xbox. So, it was just more comfortable and convenient for me to play it like that. The other reason is that I just prefer to do my gaming on a Steam Deck now. I do own an Original Xbox however it is in storage, and I don’t currently have any room for the console. It is also worth mentioning that I played this game through Xemu. I think it might have had a GameCube port as well, but I haven’t checked. So I wanted to see what the other side of the pond was like for this game. The reason for this is because all the talk I ever saw about this game online related to the PlayStation 2 version. I played this video game on the Original Xbox. So I feel like I need to clear this up beforehand. You just must play Sagas to know how atrocious the experience is. I really wish there were other ways to describe this game, but I genuinely can’t.
